Question: I am having a hysterectomy where all they are leaving is just my cervics what should I expect !.!?
I am wanting to know if i am going to be have a cycle monthly , if it will kill the sex drive ,and will it cause mood swings and things like that please help me find my answers I seek :) I want to know if there are any side effects and what the pros and cons are from people with knowledge of this !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your cycle will stop completely, most likely throwing your body into early menopause, be sure to get HRT's to help with the mood swings, and your sex drive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I had a radical hysterectomy in 2006 when I was 36 because of cancer!.
Your period will end :) because you won't have ovaries to produce eggs, etc!. any more!.
Your sex drive may diminish, since your ovaries is what produces those hormones!.
It may toss you into early menopause because of the hormone loss!. You may end up with hot flashes!. If they're unbearable, your doc can prescribe hormones!.
I've been fortunate!. I haven't had hot flashes!. My sex drive has gone down!.!.!. but I try not to let that effect my relationship with my hubby!. I had read some time ago that sex for a man is like conversation for a woman!.!.!. so not having it is the equivilant to not having anyone to talk to!.
For me, there's been some dryness as well, but KY takes good care of that!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, my hysterectomy was the best thing I've ever done for myself!. There was an initial period of feeling blue and having mood swings!. It was short-lived!. Now, I have no pain, no monthly cycle, my sex life has improved, due to not worrying about it being painful!. Good luck with yours, girl!. And don't let anyone tell you that you're less of a woman!.
