Vagina Irritation, what could it be?!

Question: Vagina Irritation, what could it be!?
Ok so this is a little weird saying this but here I go!. I've had my period for 4 years now and I've pretty much been using the same pads!. Ok well recently I've been sore down there when wearing my pads and I just thought it was because of it rubbing against my skin the wrong way and that it would stop when I was off!. Well I'm off my period right now and it was still irritated!. So I looked in the mirror and I noticed it was red and then I felt that it was a little puffy!. I don't have sex, I'm still a virgin, and I only wear pads!. And right now I'm really freaked out!. Do you think it was just my pads bugging me and will it go away on its own!? Should I go to a doctor[I'd rather not though] and what kind of doctor would I go to for this kind of problem!?

Please, Please help meWww@Answer-Health@Com

It's possible that the dampness of the pads has caused the irritation!. You should change pads more often, or use pads meant for heavier flow!. to treat the irritation, take a warm bath with some baking soda sprinkled in the water!. Then for several nights, sleep without panties on!. wear ONLY 100% cotton panties during the day!. If the irritation does not ease in 2 days, get an appointment with a gynocologist!. There are many women in gynocology, so if seeing a male doctor would make you uncomfortable, simply ask for a female doctor!. Even if you do see a male doctor, it is REQUIRED that they have a female nurse in the room while you are being examined!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you should visit the doctor!.
It might be embarrising but it might be that your vagina doent feel really comfortable in those pads and you might have to change them!.
It might be a matter of fact that it could be worse!.
Go to the hospital and if you feel really embarressed about it, then ask your mom!. she will know what to do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi!. Sometimes one can develop an allergy to a particular brand of pads!. Try changing the brand and see if things improve!. Other possible reasons are allergy to your detergent or bathing soap etc!. If there is discharge, burning sensation and a smell, would suggest you see a doctor (a gynae), as that could indicate a yeast infection!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you haven't had sex it's probably nothing!.!.!.

Wait for a few days and if it's still swollen then definitely see a doctor!. I think the pad has just rubbed it the wrong way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your are most likely allergic Sweetie!. "sanitary pads" really aren't too sanitary!. if you have ever seen the show how its made they go through peoples bare hands and machines that you know they don't wash!. plus they are made from synthetic materials and they use chlorine bleach!. switch to these ( i use their panty liners and tampons) They are natural and organic I am 99% certain that is what is going on with you!. just don't freak out get these and if you still have a problem THEN and only then would i see a doctor!. Good luck

Also wear organic cotton undies on 100% cotton undies if you can't find organic ones!.

I didn't notice you said you wear off right now!. Try the cotton undie thing seriously!. The synthetic fabric could also be the problem!.

Also buy organic laundry soap!. I have this kind that has fabric softner built in and it is concentrated so you don't have to use alot!. My skin was very tight red and itchy (allover my whole body) before i started using organic laundry detergent!. Also switch to organic body wash!. as non organic body wash has harmful synthetic chemicals!. one ingredient sodium laureth sulfate found in almost every shampoo and body wash is a main ingredient in carpet shampoo!. would you want to wash yourself with carpet shampoo!? I buy all of my products at my local health food store and are all relatively inexpensive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

In the last year I have been experiencing vaginal redness and itching when using pads(doesn't matter what brand)but it always goes away!.What is really weird is the itchng starts right before my period(a new sign of my period coming)I've been having periods for 36 yrs!!!My problem could be hormonal perhaps!.You might make an appt with a gynecologist(a specialist in female problems)Try using a talc with cornstarch and baking soda on your pads!.!.!.!.Hope this helps!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
