Birth control options?!

Question: Birth control options!?
ok so i stopped taking the pill 2 months ago because i ran out and honestly i was hoping that my boyfriends insurance would cover a vasectomy because he is willing to get one so i don't have to take the pill any more but it doesn't cover it since a vasectomy isn't medical related and is his choice!. So I am thinking about an IUD or maybe some pill that i don't have to take every single day!. I mean how much worse can the side effects be than the every day pill!? I don't want the kind that makes me have 4 periods a year because to me a period is a reasurance of me not being pregnant and i like that security!. I have heard horror stories about the nuva ring plus i am small and i don't think i like that option!. what are your stories of nuva ring good and bad and what specific pills can i take!. I refuse to take the shot because my ex best friends ex girlfriend he was with for 2 years turned her into a complete jealos psycho!. seriously when she quit taking the shot she became much nicer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I have never heard of an insurance plan that will not cover a vasectomy!.

Anyway, a vasectomy rarely costs over $1000 if you are paying cash!. Why not just pay cash!. He can get a referral from "Planned Parenthood" and get it at a low cost clinic!.

I paid cash and my vasectomy!. It was only $250 back in 1989!. My friend had a vasectomy recently and it was only $600 cash!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am not going to suggest different kinds of birth control because I am not a doctor!. What I do suggest is that you go to your gynecologist and talk with them about your worries and plans and they will know what is best for you and your unique situation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you thought about implanon!? It's not for everyone, but might be worth looking into!.!.!. goodluck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

MIRENA IUD all the way!! LOVE IT!!

The Mirena is a progesterone only IUD!.!.!.!.It slowly released progesterone over a 5 year period!. What progesterone is designed to do is supress the lining of your uterus, causing less or no periods!. I had one for 5 years and now on my second one! I have not had a period in 7 years, since the month after I hade the 1st one inserted!. The only side effect that I noticed was increased hormonal acne!!? It got better over time and it was well worth it!! So if I can recommend any thing it would be the MIRENA!.!.!.!.!.good luck!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

My oldest daughter used Norplant, where they implant some tiny capsules in your arm that have the same hormone (progesterone) that is used in many birth control pills!. It worked great and she swears by it!. twice a year you go and get more put in, and that's it!. And by the way, just because your friend had a bad experience with a form of birth control doesn't mean you will!. Everybody's body is different!. I, myself could not take birth control pills (in the 70's) because all three that they tried messed me up!. Fortunately I don't have to worry about it anymore!Www@Answer-Health@Com
