Problems with a Navel Hernia?!

Question: Problems with a Navel Hernia!?
I was born with a hernia in my navel!.!. and I have yet to get surgery on it!. I was just wondering if having a hernia can cause any discomfort in my abdomen (because I have been noticing some) and what happens to my body before/after surgery!. When I was younger my Primary Doc!. told my mother that I couldn't have children unless I had the hernia fixed!. I don't plan on having children anytime soon but I was just wondering why that was the case!. Also, I have been noticing that my stomach stretches out oddly where my navel is, would that improve after surgery!? And if so, why!?

Thank you for any help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
well the navel hernia is the result of your stomach muscles not be closed together which allows the intestines to pop threw which is why you have the bulge!.!.!.!. It is not safe to carry children in your uterus because this causes more pressure on your abdomen and can make your hernia worse!.!.!.!.!. The doctors will go in and push the intestines back in and pull your muscles back together!.!.!. you will be sore and will have to take it easy for a few weeks but you should have no long term difficulties!.!.!.!. This is a relatively simple procedure but I am surprised the docs didn't fix it when you were little!.!.!.!. Hope this helps!.!.!.!. take careWww@Answer-Health@Com

A Hernia, is basically a tear in your abdominal wall!. Straining too hard,(sit-ups, etc), can force your intestines out through the tear!. Think of it as, a weak spot in your abdomen!. If you don't get it fixed, any heavy lifting, exercise, in general, any pressure on your abdomen (including Pregnancy) can cause severe pain, or worse!. Once you get it fixed, the bump by your navel should disappear!. If you haven't already, check this web site out, it should help you understand what your up against!. Good Luck!
