Question: My periodd!?!!?
Okay, so I'm 11 years old and I got my period for the first time, on May 20 something!.[ 27, maybe!.] and my friends birthday is the 25th and the last few years she had a party at the beach!. If my period starts, I don't know how to ask my mom for tampons!. Like, do I telll her about the party first or what!? I'm so lost, and I feel uncomfortable talking to her about stuff like that!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have a hard time telling my mom about this kind of stuff too!. But I eventually tell her!. Here is what I would do in your situation!. First tell her your friend is having a beach party on the 25th!. Then add in that there is a possibility you might be on your period the day of the party!. Then you could ask if you and her could go to the store to pick out some tampons for you!. Or another idea that I use everynow and then!. If your mom is going to the store one day offer to go with her!. When you are near the "girly" section *make it spur of the moment sounding* Oh, hey mom can I get some tampons, because I might be on my period the day of my friends beach party!. This way it's not as awkward as if you were trying to approach her at home or something!. Good luck and I'm sure your mom will understand no matter how you bring up the subject!. o me too, i never talk about that kind of stuff to her!.!.!. it is so uncomfortable!.
first of all, does ur mom know about ur period!? if so then u can jsut say, "mom, u know that beach party of "friend" this weekend!. well if i have my period then do i need tampons or something or what do i do!?" from a parents perspective it is much less ackward than from ours!. also, do any of ur friends already have their period cause u could always just ask them for one or two to borrow just on that day from the part!. there is always the possiblity that u won't have it at the party!Www@Answer-Health@Com

ha ha just ask when I first got my period every one in the house knew in less then 50 seconds lol!. just ask for tampons its not that hard!. and it is your mom she has been there before unlike me my dad has to buy them for me :PWww@Answer-Health@Com

I would just tell her, I mean she'll most likely understand because she went through the same thing and its natural!. You should probably find out if your friend is actually having a beach party first though!. Good luck =]Www@Answer-Health@Com
