Just a yeast infection, or something more sinister like cervical cancer?!

Question: Just a yeast infection, or something more sinister like cervical cancer!?
The discharge is white and stringy (clumpy!?), with some itchyness around the labia!. There is an odor which smells a little vinegary but it is not strong!. I had intercourse at an early age but haven't had it for four years!. I am on the oral contraceptive pill and have never had a pap smear!. I have read that intercourse at an early age can give rise to HPV which causes cervical cancer!.

Does this sound like a typical minor infection or could it possibly be something worse!? I have only just had my second dose of the HPV vaccine last week!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
This is a classic case of candida, or thrush!. It is caused by an overgrowth of natural yeasts that live in the vagina!. They will multiply like crazy if the acidity of the vagina suits them!. This acidity gets affected by the oral contraceptive, among other things!. Even the vaccine shot could have done it!.
There are home treatments and good over the counter medications for it!.
But in your case I'd say go to a doctor about it, as really you should have a pap smear, at least as a "baseline" to compare later smears against!.
You sound too young to have cervical cancer, and it does not have discharges as its main symptoms!. The vaccine is prevention against all the major types of it!.
The connection with "early age" is not so much the age itself, as the link between starting young and having multiple partners over time!. It's a statistical link only, there's been no direct physical cause found that's age related!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
