Question: Is There a Certain Age I Need to Be to Use Mirena/Paragard!?
I'm on the pill right now, but my mom and I are trying to find a more hassle-free method of birth control!. I'm considering Mirena or Paragard, but is there a certain age!? I'm fifteen!.
And also, is there anything I should be really concerned about with usig a IUD!?

1) Mirena IUD are a very reliable and simple method of contraception!. They are really recommendable!. You will be protected while not having to daily remember of using contraception!.
2) There is no minimum age of using IUD!.
3) @Buttapek: That's wrong!. The string hangs out of the cervix into the vagina, but not out of the vagina!. The string has proven in many studies to be only a very minor risk of uterus infections!. This is nothing at all to worry about!
4) The only issue "to worry about" is that after one year of usage approximately 50% of all women observe drastically lighter periods or no periods at all!. This can be a huge relief to all who suffered from pain, cramps or blood loss and it makes monthly hygiene much easier!. On the other hand you will have to blindly trust the contraception method because due to the missing periods you might have no monthly "not pregnant" sign!. Some women are disturbed by this!. If you decide for Mirena, then you have to accept or enjoy missing or drastically alleviated periods!.

Be very cautious of the string that hangs from the vagina after the IUD is in place!. It can cause vaginal infections because the bacteria clings to the string and just sits there!. and there is no way for you to clean it!. Have you considered the patch or the Nuva Ring!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
