How to go on birth control?!

Question: How to go on birth control!?
I'm 20 years old and I'm unsure how to go about getting a prescription because I haven't been to the doctor for like 2 years so technically my doctor is still my pediatrician!. I wouldn't feel comfortable asking a children's doctor about this and I don't even know if she deals with this type of thing!. I don't want planned parenthood generic birth control or anything either!. Any suggestions!? Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Pediatricians do give out birth control frequently-- remember that they work with a lot of teenage girls! It's nothing to feel embarrassed about, but go to a gynecologist if you are that apprehensive about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok listen I am 18 only 2 years younger than you and I still go to my pediatrician she knows me and it would be easier to go to her than trying to find another good doctor!. You can still go to her until you turn 21, there is nothing wrong with that remember she has been there during your growing into women hood so why throw her out now!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get a regular family doctor!. You will have to get a Pap Smear first, which takes like 5 minutes and it is not as bad as its made out to be!. Then ask to be put on birth control, they will go over the different options!.!.I'm on Yaz!. It's pretty routine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Look in the phone book and find a gynecologist!. usually they can see you within a week or two!. They will do a pap smear and and a prescription for birth control!. if you are sexually active, You need a pap smear every year!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Planned parenthood has name brand pills, but genarics are just the same!. You either need a prescription from your doctor or a clinic!. You should have a gyno at your age, your pediatrician can refer you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

go to the obgyn and get it if your sexually active u need a pap smear tooWww@Answer-Health@Com
