Cost and availability!. The Mirena hormonal IUD costs between $300 and $400 every five years plus the cost of an office visit for insertion and a follow-up appointment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your insurance will pay for it once every 5 years!. All you have to pay is the co pay!. I used Marina between having my first and second child and I loved it!. My sister is 20 and she just went to try and get it because she hates birth control but they told her she had to have already had a child and be 25 but that was in Georgia!. I think with out insurance it will run anywhere between $300 and $400!. But if you break it down you would be spending way more than that on BC in five years

When they put it in it is uncomfortable!. They have to numb your cervix with a shot and then they put the IUD on a rod and just slide it in !. I had cramping during and after it was put in for a day or so!. It is pretty small it looks like a T!. It is very flexable and had nothing sharp!. Basically it has the same hormones that is in birth control and it is concentrated on the shaft of the T and just relases slowly into the uterus making it really easy to get pregnate after!. It doesn't go into you blood stream!. There are stings that will stick out of your cervix into your vagina but they mush and you won't feel them shortly after it is put in!. Your husband / boyfriend may notice them for a little bit but it won't hurt him!. The Dr will tell you to feel for the stings every now and again to make sure that it hasen't fallen out but you will absolutly know if it comes out because it is plastic and will float on top of the water!. I didn't have any bad side effects from it no weight gain or mood swings!. I did bleed REALLY heavy for the first 2 weeks after it was put in but after that I didn't have a period until it came out!. I took it out about a year after i had it put in because i wanted to have another baby!. I started my period the day after it came out and I got pregnate 4 months later!. I really loved itWww@Answer-Health@Com

Without insurance about $400-$500, plus the cost of the doctor's visit!. You can buy directly from Mirena, they ship it to your doctor's office, and you can pay on a payment plan!. It seems like a lot, but when you break it down it works out to be about $10 per month or less for the next five years!. Plus it is really easy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
