Question: Girls only: REALLY late LATE period!?
ok so first of all, there is no way i am pregnant, because you have to have sex to be pregnant!.
my first period was the middle of january!. then my next one was like feb 25, then my next one was like apr 12, and i haven't had one since! they've all been 5 days long and pretty normal flow!. i know your period is irregular for the first few years, but should it be THIS irregular!?
i don't know if this has anything to do with this but i play volleyball very seriously, and in the past month i've had weightlifing, running, or intense practice for at least 2 hours every day for at least 4 days in a week!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Change in activity and diet can cause irregularity in periods!. And no they are not suppose to be that irregular!. I have had irregular periods since i started mine when i was 14!. I went to my gyno and she put me on birth control!. No i was not having sex at the time but irregular periods aren't only a pain, they can cause infection and other sever problems!. it is normal if you work out a lot, have an eating disorder, or are stressed!. But it sounds like yours is probably from very intense excercise!. Mine is the same way!. I've had my period for 5 years now, but because of how much I excercise I usually only get it every 6 weeks or so!. It's very hard to track when I'll get it! The answer is yes it is normal because of how much you are excercising!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
The only reason your periods could be that irregular is due to PCOS!. Irregular or absent periods are symptoms of it!. That is how my PCOS started!.
Get to a Endocrinologist to get your hormones checked!. If you have PCOS, they'll give you meds to help with the symptoms!.

There is a very good chance the sports interfere with your period I don't remember why but they do!. Also you haven't sex so don't sweat it, its just irregular!. I got my period at 12 and it didn't start to even out until last year at 17!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you been on a low calorie diet!? Starving yourself can lead to : dismenorhea, ie!. period cessation!. Make sure you're getting enough nutritious food!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
