Question: My mom comes in the shower with me and I'm 12!?!?
I'm a girl!.!.!.12 years old!.!.!.me and my mom are pretty close, but she sometimes comes in the bathroom when I'm taking a shower to "help" me shave (pubic area and underarms) and sometimes she makes comments about how "big my big my breasts are getting" and all that!.!.!.it makes me feel so uncomfortable but I am NOT going to to tell her to stop because that would be really rude!.!.!.what should I do!? Does she think I'm not responsible!? Because 12 is disgusting to be showering with another female, let alone your mom :(Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey, I just turned 13 so I know how you feel!. Moms are difficult to understand but when you become one, you'll realize she just thinks she is doing the best thing for you!. If you two are so close, ask your mom to talk privately and explain to her how it makes you feel uncomfortable when she does things like that!. If this makes you feel uncomfortable at all, you should talk to someone!. Even if it only makes you a little uncomfortable, you should still talk to someone!. I wouldn't start with talking to your mom because it may upset her, but if you tell someone, they can talk to her and it will make it a little easier for you!. You shouldn't have to deal with that, also you are going through a phase in your life where that doesn't make things any easier, your boobs and pubs are none of her business unless you want them to be!. It isn't so much disgusting as it is disturbing!. It makes people uncomfortable to think that someone is helping a young girl shave herself and commenting on her breasts!. It may be rude to tell her that she makes you uncomfortable but it makes me uncomfortable that she is doing this, she is being just as rude if you think about it! next time she does it just tell her that you have it down well, you don't need help and you would feel much more comfortable if you could shower ALONE!. If she doesn't listen after that tell her you WILL be showering alone from that point on!. Don't feel bad about "hurting her feelings" or anything - if she has any respect for you she won't have a problem leaving you alone!. Also ( if you can) lock the door!.
If she doesn't stop thats when you start worrying!. Tell another adult you trust - father, aunt, uncle, freinds parent, whatever and put an end to it!. Thats NOT acceptable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ya samething here my mom use to come in the shower with me but I told her mom I feel uncomfortable and then she stoped!. Ya my mom made alot of the same comments that your mom says to you!. My mom also follows me into the dressing rooms at stores and sometimes when I ask her if she yells no and calls me names and yells what you don't want me to see your huge boobs!. It's perfectly normal!. My mom did that too!. But now, I tell her I'm just going to take a shower by myself!. I've been doing it for two years!. She is just trying to help and make you feel comfortable!. Explain to her how you want to practice taking showers by yourself!. She'll let up after a while!.
