Birth control after having a baby?!
Question: Birth control after having a baby!?
I definitely didn't want to risk getting pregnant right after I had my baby!. So I called the dr!. 3 weeks post partum and asked her if it was alright to start birth control!. She prescibed me to YAZ!. Now a couple days after I started the package, I started my period!. Should I keep taking the pills regularly, even though you're supposed to take the white pills during your period!? I'm confused! May be a dumb question, but I have NO clue what to do!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
Just continue to take your pills as normal!. It can take up to three months for periods to settle when you start taking the pill so don't worry!. If you haven't settled into a regular pattern after three months then see your GP as sometimes a change of pill is necessary!. Take care!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, keep taking them as normal!. Your period will take a month or two to adjust to the pill!. Take all the pills as instructed!. Don't worry about whether you are having your period or not!. Your period will come during the placebo week once you've been taking the pills for a few months!. It's takes awhile for your body to regulate!.
Also, make sure you don't breastfeed because the pills are not good for the baby and can be transferred through breastmilk!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
