You generally don't bleed at night, or at least not very much, so it's normal to wake up and there is nothing there in the morning!. That doesn't mean it's gone!.

Since it's your very first period, there is no telling how long or how short it will be!. I think my first one was very short too, but I don't really remember!.

As far as going in the pool!. Actually, you will not bleed while you're in the water, so that's ok!. And yes, I KNOW THIS! My mother has taught swimming for over 40 years!. It's true, so don't listen to what other people say about "bleeding in the pool"!. It can't happen unless you are swimming naked and peeing!. REALLY!

But you could consider tampons too!. They have really really small ones and if you read the directions, you should be able to use them just while you're swimming, if that makes you feel better!.

Just remember that you don't bleed WHILE YOU ARE IN THE WATER!. If you plan on sitting by the side or walking around in your bathing suit, then you'll have to think of something else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Pads are nastier!. They smell, and they can smell right through your clothes!. Tampons are nasty but at least you don't have to worry about any smell coming from you!.

I assume you are fairly young since you ask such a question!. Well for me my first period only lasted a day!. Since then they have never lasted more than 3 days!.!.!.lucky me!. You can try a tampon for swimming, it won't suck up the pool water, and if inserted correctly it won't leave a trail of uck behind you!. Given the approximate age I think you are, you are probably a virgin!. This makes for a different experience with them!. Before inserting the tampon, move the hymen out of the way, so this when removing it as well!. It can be painful if it gets caught on that!. After that just follow the directions!.

I had the same thoughts of them until I started using them!. I hated the smell of pads, and the way they chaffed and sometimes cut if they were not placed just right!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are still on your period and you do not want to use tampons you should not go to the pool!.
As far as the lenght of your period, that can vary from period to period as well as from women to women!. Also some women don't have periods at night, or they might get lighter!. If you are one of those select few count your blessing!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

what usually happens to me is i get it then about 3 to 4 days later it stops for a day but then it comes back again!.

so the pool thing i really wouldn't recommend it but then again its up to you if you need help deciding talk to your mom, aunt, or any one you trust

oh and while your in the water your period stops its only when u get out the water

hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

there usually wont be much on ur pad in the morning uts because you are lying horizontally so the flow is not that strong!.!. but keep wearing something casue you might still have discharge for a couple of days!.!.

as for the pool!.!. i rate you could give it a go!.!. not for too long cause then ull leak into the pool!. but to be safe rathe not or wear a tampon!.!. its actually much more convenient, hygenic and ou dont even feel it!!

good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Usually when you sleep your period slows down and even stops but doesnt mean that its over, not sure why you wont wear a tampon they arent gross, they are much easier to use than a pad, and much more comfortable and you would be able to go swimmingWww@Answer-Health@Com

no i am havign an issue and i asked a queation my will be gone for a day then it will coem back and the same thing will happem wait at least a week and if he dont come back than its probley gone
p!.s i am the same way i hate tampons and its pathetic but i am afraid to use themWww@Answer-Health@Com

u could (of course! no one's stopping u lol) but i advise not to because i'm pretty sure period will come back!. i'm having mine right now (which is torture to me!.!.!.) and it did stop for a while yesterday but came back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It does that!. Trust me keep the pad on!. I thought one time Hooray it stopped!.!.!.it didn't!. It stops temporary so you better not go swimming today!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you really want to go to the pool then suck it up and use a tampon if you dont then dont goWww@Answer-Health@Com

I've had some that last only two days, I think that can be common!. It's also very common to wake up in the mornings with nothing on your pad, but then your flow starts again after you get up and get moving around!. But if it's been a while since you got up this morning and still nothing, then I guess you are done!. Lucky you!.

Why would you think tampons are nasty!? I've never heard that before!. They are used for a variety of different reasons!. Yes, you can go to the pool!. That's one of the great thing about tampons! But if there is nothing going on anyway, no need to use one!. Go enjoy some sun!

edit!.!.!.first period!? well first periods are a little weird and they do strange things!. It's possible that you are totally done or it could come back!. I understand about the tampon comment now!. I was scared to death of tampons at that age!. But I eventually tried them (the small ones at first), with a panty liner and they are fine!. Doesn't hurt and you can't even tell you are using one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
