My period is late. When I go to the bathroom I have blood in my discharge. What !

Question: My period is late!. When I go to the bathroom I have blood in my discharge!. What could this be!?
I went to the bathroom and when I went to wipe, there was bright red blood!. I thought I had gotten my period finally!. It's been a few hours since I noticed any blood!. The discharge was mucousy (like when you ovulate)!.

I've had some light cramps the past few days, but no sign of Aunt Flow!. I took a pregnancy test on Saturday and it came out Negative!.

I had problems with my period lately because I stopped receiving Depo Provera Birth control injections!.

What could the discharge be a sign of!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I have heard that some times when you stop taking the shot, your period takes a couple of months to start again!. The mucus with a little blood in it sounds like a sign of fertility, imo!. Whenever a woman (who is not on hormonal birth control) is VERY fertile, she will get a bit of blood mixed in with the clear stringy mucus!.

I would not worry about it if I were you!. Your hormones are out of whack because of the shot!. You could be on your first ovulation cycle since you started the shot, which would mean your period should come in a couple of weeks!. ;) Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am not sure but it might have something to do with stopping the depo provera birth control!.

I never took that but I took birth control pills for many years when I was younger!.
After I stopped them I had a reverse reaction!. I missed my period for a while then it started again!.

Maybe your body has to get adjusted to the way it was before!.
Just in case there is any other problem!. Go to the doctor and get it checked out!. Then the doctor can tell you if that is what happens after you are off the birth control!.
