Lexapro side affects.... should I take?!

Question: Lexapro side affects!.!.!.!. should I take!?
So about a month ago I went to the doctor and had the IUD Mirena incerted, while the insertion was painful (cause I have not yet had children) I haven't had much of a problem!. Some cramping and spotting!. Well my doctor dignosed me with a slight case of PMDD and he perscribed LEXAPRO!. I started taking them about 2 days ago and I just feel horrible!. I take them about 2 hours before bed b/c it says it will make you drowsy, and I don''t want to be drowsy at work, but every morning I when I wake up my heart is beating fast and I just feel so tired through out the day!. My appetite is gone and I'm slightly light headed!. Is this normal side effects!? Will they eventually go away!? Should I keep taking lexapro!? Should I take at a different time!?Any information would be appreaciated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The hormones in birth control can actually cause serious depression and pmdd!. It is widely known but under reported!. Just google "birth control" and "depression"!. So now your physician has you on a medication to help with the side effects of your first prescription!. Both seem to messing with you!. Not everyone responds well to medication!. Some of us, like myself, and possibly you, are very sensitive to chemicals in our bodies!.
I became horribly depressed on birth control then went absolutely spastic on Lexapro!. I researched and found other women with similar stories!. You know your own body! You know how you are feeling!. And you know this better than any physician!.
I went off everything!. It wasn't easy!. My doctor was resistant but my own intuition and research paid off!. I realize we are brought up to put our absolute faith and trust in doctors but they are only human!. They are not living in our bodies nor experiencing our symptoms!.
I am on no prescriptions right now and feel a million times better!. I realize that everyone is different but for me it was just not worth the awful side effects!.
Trust your own instincts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was prescribed this about a year and a half ago!. I took maybe 12 pills and threw the rest away!. It made me sleepy and lethargic and I also had ZERO sex drive which was not fun for me or my husband!. I hated it!. If you don't like it, tell your doctor and see if they can change your prescription to something that might work better for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have is a "slight" case of PMDD, Lexapro may not be warranted or necessary, because it's designed for major depression!. If you're more comfortable without it, stop taking it and let your doctor know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try it for a few weeks, and see if the side effects lessen or disappear!. The only side effect I've experienced is decreased libido!. For me, the benefits have outweighed the side effects by a lot!Www@Answer-Health@Com

okay this is tuff question and lets face it, the forum here may not answer it for you in a medical light!. i have a few views and of course going to share!
I use LPro and never have bad side effects BUT it is widely known to have bad s/effects!. I can talk all night about L/Pro but i think real issue is the IUD!. You should NOT have issues with IUD regradless of child bearing status!. if you feel it its either physcal (hence continuing spotting) or emotional
(imagining its there etc)!. Im sorry, but your doc is misguided by giving you depression tab to solve IUD probs!. Look, i dont know your situation but as i said, acsertain if its physical pain or emoitional about having the IUD and stop taking the L/pro as its not YOUR solution!.!.!.!.good luckxxx
BTW it takes about 2 weeks for Lpro to take effect so to me you answeres your own problem, you feel crap as its not the solution!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
