Question: What happens to my eggs if I'm on the birth control pill!?
So I know that the birth control pill works by (among other things) stopping ovulation!. Here's my question: if I'm not releasing an egg once a month anymore, what's happening to them!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You say it correctly, it's stopping ovulation!. But the whole process of producing eggs is not stopped!. They are produced, and after they don't receive a hormone for ovulating they go in regression and die!. So you lose eggs every month!.
They don't stay in your ovary!.!.!.

Your ovaries are full of eggs!. every month they go through a couple steps to reach maturity and be released!. If you are on the pill It may stop this from happening!. if you don't ovulate then the one that has reached maturity is reabsorbed by your body!.
The pill is multifaceted though!. It may stop ovulation!. It may make the cervical mucus inhospitable to sperm thus allowing it not to penetrate!. Or it may make the fertilized egg unable to implant in the lining of the uterus!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
