Question: Girls Please!!?
HI!.!. Well this is the second day with my period and i had 2 over flows!. I ruined my 2 fav!. short shorts!.
So when i wear a tampon it lasts like 3 hours and im using very heavy [sport tampons]
and when i wear a pad, it goes on the side and ruins the side of it!.
And im traviling and i brougt like 7 pads and like 6 tampons cuz i though it was going to be normal!.
And when i go to the bathroom!.!.!. tons and tons of blood come out like clogs!.!.!.
Is this normal!? and what can i do amout the pads/tampon thing!?!? just go get a quarter everytime!?!?

Poor thing! The others on here are right!. Birth control pills can help lighten your flow!. If heavy bleeding during your period is common for you, you should go visit your doctor!. He/she can help with making sure nothing is wrong with you, and prescribing necessary treatment!.
When my period is heavy, I use super plus tampons AND a pad!. That way, as long as you check it every hour or so, your pad will catch anything that leaks before it ruins your shorts!. Also, make sure you're using high quality products!. My favorite is Tampax Pearl!. It's really comfortable, and I feel as though it prevents leaks the best!.
As for your shorts, try Shout stain remover!. If you are able to saturate the stains quickly (within 48 hours), they will usually come out!. Just follow the directions on the bottle!.
I wouldn't use the tampons/pads from the quarter machines in bathrooms unless it's an emergency!. They are usually poor quality!. Tampons are sold pretty much anywhere!.!.!.you can find a gas station, grocery store, or liquor store and you'll usually find a box!.

sometimes ladies are put on the contraceptive pill to lighten their periods,you can also have a coil fitted if you have had a child,this is supposed to help with periods to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Go to the nearest store and buy a pack of overnight maxis with wings!. Those will conquer the heavy bleeding as well as the leaking on the sides!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It wouldn't hurt to check with your doctor!. Maybe trying birth control will help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
your shorts aren't ruined just take the time to hand wash them before you put them in the washing machine and use cold water
if they're those platex sport tampons, i've used them before and personally i don't think they work well so maybe you should just try a different brand like tampax pearl
as for pads just get the kinds with wings because it will hold it in place and keep it from moving to the side
next time just bring more you never know
and as for going to the bathroom and clods of blood being in the bottom of the toilet when you pee that's normal!.!.!.it use to freak me out too but trust me its normal
since your traveling and you're having some issues if someone older like a mom or even a sister or cousin or anything tell her and she can help you go about getting new/more tampons and pads if not just go to who ever you're with and tell them you need to go to the store to pick up a few things!.!.!.if it's a guy you might be embarrassed but you'll just have to get over itWww@Answer-Health@Com

if you filling a pad within an hour you need to see a dr!. cause i had that problem and i dont know your background but i filled a pad an hour i had to switch to pads because tampons would be full like 30 mins after i put it in but if it is that heavy you need to see the dr cause i ended up in the emergency room because i was having a miscarriage and didnt know it but i would say if you can in a gas station if you can get to one or a store buy more tampons and wear the pads at night that way your not uncomfortable during the day while your active!. and for your shorts use a stain stick or spray and wash before you wash them and let it sit on there for about an hour then wash it for the ones if you have already washed them then put the spray and wash on them and let it sit for a day and when it dries put more on then wash it, it should come out hope this helpedWww@Answer-Health@Com
