Answers:
1!. Relax! Try not to worry about inserting the tampon right the first time!. If you are tense it will make insertion harder!.
2!. The best time to practice inserting a tampon is during the heavy part of your period!. The tampon should glide inside your vagina easily without any discomfort!.
3!. Decide if you prefer to insert the tampon standing or sitting!. If sitting is your preference, sit on the toilet!. If you want to try standing, putting one foot on the bathtub helps!.
4!. Hold the tampon applicator in your right hand if you are right-handed, or left if left-handed!.
5!. Use your thumb and middle finger to hold the bottom of the larger, outer tube!.
6!. Point the tip of the applicator toward your vagina, facing slightly towards the back!. The smaller tube should be pointed away from your body!.
7!. Use your other hand to open your vagina!.
8!. Place the tip of the applicator at the opening of your vagina!.
9!. Gently push the smaller end of the applicator in until it is completely inside the larger outer tube!. This pushes the tampon into your vagina and out of the tube!.
10!. With your thumb and middle finger still on the outer tube, release the smaller tube and let the strings dangle freely!.
11!. Gently pull the two tubes out together!.
12!. Dispose of the applicator according to the manufactuer's instructions!.
13!. When you are ready to remove the tampon, gently pull the withdrawl strings down and forward!. The used tampon may be flushed down the toilet!.

Tips:

1!. Lubricating the rounded end of the tampon with a water-based lubricant such as K-Y Jelly can make insertion easier the first few times!. Don't use petroleum jelly!.
2!. Always read the manufactuer's instructions throughly before using any type of tampon!.
3!. If the tampon feels uncomfortable it is probably not inserted far enough into your vagina!. Try again with a new tampon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are instruction included in the box of tampons!. You can do it while sitting on the toilet which is easier!. Simply insert it in, then push the end, the tampon will go in and you will have the applicator which you throw in the trash!. You could also stand with your leg up on the toilet and insert it this way!. Just read the directions!. It is very easy but you need to insert it correctly or it can be a bit uncomfortable and leak!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have to practice putting tampons in so that they don't hurt at first!. I remember the first time I used them, it was a little painful because I didn't put them in correctly!.

Here's what I suggest: expect to waste a number of them to get them in correctly!. Before putting them in, roll it around in some baby oil the first few months you use them so that they will go in easier!. You will try a few times and get them in wrong and that will dry you out and it will hurt!.!.!.so roll them in some baby oil!.

Here's another option that is a well kept secret!. There is a product on the market called INSTEAD that you insert and it catches blood in a bowl like rubber cup!. It is very painless, very clean and you only have to change it once every 12 hours!. There are expensive because you can use them more than once if you clean the rubber cup well between uses and you don't need so many of them!. They could and should put the tampon/pad makers out of business!. Look for Instead when you go to the stores!. I last saw them at Target chains!.

Remember, don't ever, ever, ever flush a tampon down the toilet as they will stop the toilet up and you will waste quite a few experimenting and getting them in deep enough so they will not create discomfort!.

Anyone who tells you to "just stick them in there" forgot how difficult it was the first few times!. I expect you will have about 6 periods before you will become quick and careful about using tampons!.

Remember this: They shouldn't hurt at all!. If it does, pull it out and try again!. Roll it in baby oil until you get it right!. Pretty soon you can skip the baby oil procedure!.

You should talk to your mom about this but I expect that you don't feel comfortable talking to her and that's a shame!. I guess I have to be your "cyber mom"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it's OK to use a tampon from your very first period!. Use a "light" one with an applicator!.!.!.they are thinner and easier to insert!.

There are instructions in each box!. Just squat a little, use your finger to find the opening of the vagina, position the tip of the tampon there, then gently push the applicator inside!.

Enjoy swimming :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

yea its okay to put a tampon in!.
but what you do is!.!.!.Sit or stand in a comfortable position!. Some women prefer to place one leg on the toilet seat or tub, while others prefer to squat down!. After you find a position that is most comfortable for you, hold the tampon with the fingers that you write with!. Hold the middle of the tampon, at the spot where the smaller, inner tube inserts into the larger, outer tube!. Make sure the string is visible and pointing away from your body!.
Gently push the tampon into the opening, aiming for the small of your back!. Stop when your fingers touch your body and the applicator, or outer tube, is completely inside!.
Once the applicator or outer tube is inside of you, use your index finger to push the inner tube (the tube where the removal string is visible) through the outer tube!. This pushes the tampon into the vagina!.
Once the inner tube is all the way in, use your thumb and middle finger to remove the applicator or outer tube!.
Make sure that the string hangs outside of the vaginal opening!. Later, when you are ready to remove the tampon, hold the string and gently pull it downward until the entire tampon is out!. (:Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's okay to put a tampon in!. it's summer and you cant just NOT go swimmin right!? You slide the applicator in and push the back so the tampon comes out and into your vagina!. Use a light tampon first because a SUPER might be a little too much and the plastic applicators go in much easier!. I've had my period for a while and I still dont use the supers or cardboard applicators!Www@Answer-Health@Com
