Question: Yaz birth control - nervous!?
I've been researching Yaz a little and am getting really nervous!. I got on Yaz to regulate my periods and to help with PMDD!. Today was my third day!. I haven't had any problems yet, but am terrified of what's to come!.
I have read that a lot of women had low sex drive (and others said none whatsoever), headaches, breast tenderness and swelling, horrible mood swings, acne worsening, period issues worsening, etc, etc, etc!.
Is this all part of the adjustment period!? If I experience these, will they go away, or are they there to stay (like acne and sex drive, especially)!?
This is my first birth control pill, so I don't know what to expect!.

I've been on birth control since November of 2006, a month after my daughter was born!. I've used 3 different types of birth control (including a shot and another type of pill) and Yaz is by far the best birth control that I've been prescribed!. I haven't noticed any changes in my sex drive or any of the other symptoms that you mentioned!. Actually, I'm not nearly as moody as I was when I was taking the other types of birth control and Yaz cleared up my acne fairly quickly!. Everyone is different, so of course you could be affected differently by Yaz than I was, but this is just my personal experience!. Hope that I could be some help!. :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com
My best friend's on it and so far so good!. But everyone reacts differently, that's why there are so many different kinds of pills!. If Yaz isn't the one, there are dozens of others to choose from!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is pretty normal for birth control!.!.!.I was in your same situation and tried everything to restore it!. I switched pills a couple times and gave up, the libido was just not coming back!. I then found a natural herbal enhancer that is supposed to increase your sex drive and a couple other things!. However it's like an instant libido rush and as I kept using it my sex drive was through the roof and continues to be!.
