I am getting a vaginal ultrasound for a cysts on wesenday what is the procudure like!? and will it hurt!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Actually, a vaginal ultrasound is a little more complicated than a normal ultrasound!. They will hand you a special transducer (the thing they normally press against you) and ask you to insert it into your vagina!. It's not much bigger than a large tampon so you shouldn't be too afraid of it!. The worst thing about the procedure is a sense of being uncomfortable and slight embarassment at having to do this with someone else in the room!. Just be assured that the tech will be a professional and that they do this procedure all the time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ultrasound is actually a type of sound that you can't hear with your ears!. It doesn't hurt at all!. If you ever had a PAP test - that is probably more uncomfortable than vaginal ultrasound!.
The ultra sound machine look like a computer that has a plastic wand attached to it!. It's not thicker than a tampon!. They gently insert it into your vagina and the results come up on the screen!. Some machines have an additional little screen by your bedside that allows you to see what they see!. It's more like grey pictures with tiny dots that don't make any sence to me anyway, so I don't find that imporatnt to see them!.
They tell you the results right away!. They might or might not give you much explanations as for possible treatment options because they are specialists at *seeing* and *understanding* what's on the picture but it is your doctor who is a specialist at *treatment*!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, i had that i was stressing!. I have to get a hysteroscopy in about 2 weeks time - now im stressing about that one!
With the vaginal ultra sound, they just stick on condom ontop of it , put some lube on and put it into your vagina - it sort of felt just like my boyfriend put his penis into me to be honest!. I tried to stay relaxed so it would hurry up and be finished - and once it was finished it was ok!. Its not painful or anything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, this procedure is relatively painless! Like the tech!. stated, they will make you comfortable on the ultrasound table, then she will hand you the little transcoder, which you will be able to insert into the vagina yourself, then the tech!. will take the needed pictures & measurements!!!. It only takes a very few minutes, & by the time you get dressed, they usually are back & ready to take you for the Dr!. to discuss the results of the u/s with you!! Pretty neat stuff!!

Nope!. Ultrasounds don't hurt!. They will press the little transmitter onto your lower abdomen (which might hurt a little if you're super sensitive!?) and that's it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
it should not hurt!.!.!.!.!.ultrasound is usually not an invasive procedure, kind of like an x-ray, without radiation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
