I have HPV?!

Question: I have HPV!?
So i went to the doctors about a month ago and was called back a few weeks later!.!.!.!.!.!.come to find out my test came back positive for HPV :-(
I had been with my BF for 4 years exclusivley (so i thought)!.!.!.!.!.!.i guess i put to much trust into the relationship!.
So anyways i contracted it from him!. I have since broke up with him!. Im 22 and even though its a shame i now have this, and there is no cure for it!. I will not get upset about it!. Im going to do what i have to do to take care of myself from this point on!. Doing regular paps to make sure the cells arnt changing into cervical cancer etc!.

My question is: I am only 22 and would love one day to find someone trust worthy like i am!. Now that i have HPV i would have to tell the person im in a relationship with, this awefull news!. Do i have a chance!? I know there are many people out there with this and they find partners who accept them for who they are!. I also know it will be more difficult to find someone that will accept this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Every 1 in 3 people have HPV!. Look at the bright side, atleast it's not something worse!. It is quite possible that your (ex)boyfriend contracted the virus before you started dating!. I hope you discussed things with him before jumping to any conclusions!. As far as ever finding someone else and having a serious relationship with them, I wouldn't worry about it!. When you find that special someone they will accept you as your are!. Explain that it was contracted to you through your exboyfriend!. It's quite possible that whoever you meet will probably have it also!. There are thousands and thousands of different types of strains!. So even if you meet someone who has it, be careful! It's quite possible that they could have a completely different strain of the virus then you!. I would recommend getting the shot that they have out to protect against the 4 most commen types!. Good luck in the future and don't stress it so much!. Everything works out for the best in the end! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Absolutely!. My husband contracted an STD from his mother when he was born!. I guess she never went to the doctors the entire time she was pregnant and they never tested her for STDs!. My husband and I started dating when we were sixteen!. He was upfront with me and told me what he had and I didn't care!. We are extremely careful with our sex life and use preventative measures!. We've been sexually active for 4 years and we are both fine =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Of course you will!. HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection, it's VERY common!. You just need to be careful when you have sex, like we all have to be because of the birth control!. Even people with HIV+ find someone for themselves (why wouldn't they!? there is nothing risky when you use protection)

Plus, there are more men out there with HPV!. You might meet someone who has the same problem!. You never know :-)

I wish you the best!Www@Answer-Health@Com

HPV is so common!. The person you may join with may have it themself and not even know!. You will be in a relationship again, just be patient, and honest!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hon you need to know that this virus can lay dormant in your system for years before causing problems!. Was he your first sexual partner!? If not then you may have jumped the gun (just sayin)!. I will include an HPV link for you to show that if he has not been your only sex partner that it may not have been from him!. See under "Who can get HPV!?"

And Gardasil is not a "therapy" or "cure"!. It is a prevention!. Since you have already been diagnosed with HPV it will not help you!.

I too have been throguh the wringer with HPV and abnormal paps!. In 1990 I had the cryotherapy (freezing removal) done, and in 1998 had the LEEP procedure done!. Thankfully all of my paps have been normal since then!. Just keep your doctor appointments and keep yourself safe and well!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you will!.

But before I say more about that, I plead with you to get the Gardisil therapy!.

According to the CDC predictions, more than 85% of males and females between 14 and 25 will have HPV and/or Herpes by the year 2010!.

Logically, many young men that you meet will be affected!.
Morally, you nee to tell them of your situation before intimate contact and you have the right to insist that they do the same (written proof if you desire)!.

Whether the man you wish to be intimate with is positve or not, you really should condsider the wisdom of waiting for a VERY committed relationship before indulging!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
