im just wondering cause i didnt have mty period yetWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
tampons are a lot easier because they are more comfortable (pads make you feel like u are wearing a diaper) and you can have more freedom during your period if you wear tampons!.!.!.what i mean by this is that you can go swimming, do gymnastics and other sports and feel less self conscious while you have your period!.!.!.!.

pads are good for beginners, especially girls who JUSTgot their period, and are unfamiliar with having it!.!.!.!.they are also perfect for nighttime (DON"T wear tampons to bed!.!.!.you could get Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS))!.!.!.!.However they can be smelly (not to be gross!.!.!.sorry) while tampons are odorless!.!.!.

the only reason that pads are better than tampons is that you know when to change them and also they are probably safer (TSS risk!.!.!.!.again)

I would personally recommend tampons, but pads during the night!.!.!.!.my favorite brand is Tampax Compax, which are tampons that are actually half the size, and you pull out the bottom of the applicator before you insert it!.!.!.!.they are smaller than other tampons, so they are easier and more convenient to carry around in your purse, or pocket!.!.!.!.the Tampax Compax come in three different sizes: Light (the purple tampons), Regular (the light yellow tampons), and the Super (the dark green tampons)!.!.!.!.i suggest getting a multipack of these because periods tend to fluctuate (for example, some heavier at the beginning and lighter at the end of the period!.!.!.if you are in this situation, you would wear super the first day or two of your period, a regular the 3rd or 4th day, and a light on your 5th and 6th day)

Pads take up way more room in your purse than tampons do (they are thick and bulky) so i would definitely recommend tampons once again!.!.!.!.

Here is the tampax website!.!.!.this specific web adress is for tampax compax (the ones i use) but i'll write the general website also!.!.!.!.!.

I also like Playtex sport tampons because of the applicator shape!.!.!.!.these, however are longer than the tampax compax, but work just as nicely!.!.!.one downside is that they don't come in light absorbencies!.!.!.!.

If you are nervous about using tampons the first time (as i was) you can buy Slender Fit tampons from playtex!.!.!.!.
here's the link

The tampons always have diagrams and instructions in the box, but if you need extra help inserting a tampon, here is ANOTHER link for that specific problem!.!.!.!.!.:)

I'm sorry that this was such a long answer, but i really hope it helped!.!.!.!.good luck with what you decide!!!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on what you are comfortable with!. I wasn't comfortable wearing tampons until i lost my virginity!. I used pads from age 12 to 16!.

After that, I use tampons plus a panty liner in case there is any overflow so it won't get on my underwear!.

Tampons are perfectly healthy as long as you remember to change them every 2-4 hours on heavy flow days and every 4-8 hours on light flow days, to prevent toxic shock syndrome!.

Talk to your gynecologist for the best information!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, the first time you should probably stick with pads and then later on if you feel like you want to try tampons then go a head!. See whatever you like!.

Tampons get shoved up you and if you don't change them every 4 hours you could get toxic shock syndrom for the tampon being inside you way too long!.

Pads kind of feel like a diaper to some but for me I just feel the pad there for the first like 15 min; then I can't notice its there anymore!.

So yeah!. Just a couple things to know about them!.
Hope I helped you out!. :]Www@Answer-Health@Com

They both have there ups and downs!.!.!.!.

pads- you feel a little dirty, its bulky and you always worry people can see the lump from where its at, period is quicker, there not as risky

tampons- you have to be careful not to leave them in to long, they make me cramp a little more than usual and period seems to be a day longer when I use them!. You feel cleanerWww@Answer-Health@Com

Personally i think Pads are nastyyyyyyy!.!.!.!.!.and extremely uncomfortable!.!.u pretty much sit in ur own blood GROSS!!.!.!.thats why i only use tampons!.!.ther easy to use!.!.just put it in and u dont even feel that they are there!.!.sometimes u forget!.!.ALSO ur more clean!!! than with the constant blood flowing out(ew) but a tampon absorbs all the blood while its inside you!.!.WAY BETTER!.!.maybe hard for you your first time!.!.i know it was for me my first couple of times but after u get used to it!.!.its like !.!. "yeah w/e"!.!.!.easy!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
