No one has to know that you're on your period!. You can very easily hide maxipads in your purse or even in a jacket pocket or something!. You don't necessarily have to leave class to change it!. You can change it during passing periods, during lunch time, etc!. Classes aren't hours and hours long so you should be okay during class time unless there is an extreme emergency!. You won't be bleeding a lot to the point where it must be changed every 10 minutes!. If it's heavy just wear a pad especially made for heavier periods and if you're light then wear lighter pads!.

When get cramps you can take aspirin and never walk around barefoot! Don't know if it's true but I was told it hurts more if you're walking around on a cold floor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have a purse you can stick them in there and then take your purse to the bathroom no one will suspect a thing once you get older you wont really care!. You can go to your locker and stick one in your shirt or if you have a tampon stick it in your pocket!. With teachers if you are late to class talk to them after class and tell them you were having girl problems!. During class just tell them you have girl problems if they wont let you go!.
I would suggest a tampon but pads are good too!. They best tampon i think is the Pearl kind!.
Good luck hope this helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well for starters, beinggirl!.com is the best site for period info, so check that out, and don't be afraid to ask Iris!.

Anyway, basically, you just put a pad in your pocket or purse, and go to the bathroom like you would normally!. Then go into a stall, take the pad out, and stick it to your underwear!. Simple as that, and nobody will see!. Unless you have to re-stick it and it makes a noise, but even if they do hear, it doesn't matter!. It's a natural part of life!.

And it's always easier to tell girl teachers, but most girls don't even tell their teachers, so you don't have to tell them if you don't want!. However, if you do tell them, just say "May I go to the bathroom, I am on mt period!." Or something like that!.

All the basics are on beinggirl!.com!.

But basically you just get it every 28 days, or 4 weeks, it will be irregular for about 2 or 3 years after your first!. I would suggest wearing a pad for the first couple period's, because the younger you are, the better chance you have of getting TSS from tampons!. Also, it make take some time to get used to!. However, if you like to swim and be active, tampons are a mst!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not hard to keep a pad or tampon hidden on the way to the bathroom just carry a purse or lunch box (like the first answer suggests)!. As for the teachers, just tell them you need to go to the bathroom and if the refuse just whisper that's it's for female reasons and they will most likely allow you to go!. Don't worry you'll catch on fast! :D good luck and congrats!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm hoping you have understanding female teachers you feel comfortable talking to!. Though, if you're around 11 - 13 years old, your teachers probably kind of expect it!.

I never told my teachers, but that's because my flow has always been light, so I could easily change my pads between classes!.
If it helps, you could perhaps have your mom write a note to your teachers!.

Concealing the pads is tricky!. Those things seem to get bigger and bigger every time I see them XP
I suggest you put them in your back back, and before you leave for the bathroom, stick one in a pocket (inside coat pockets work GREAT for this)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will have time to go to the bathroom in between class!.

What I do is buy the compact tampax (It's the commercial with the ones that it falls out of her purse or whatever and a guy and the man teacher think they are candy) They are very small and you can easily hide them in your purse/ backpack/ pocket!.

How old are you!? Do you have a mom that you can talk to, or another female family member that you trust!? If not I'll tell you more, but, if you do you really need to talk to them!.

And don't be embarrassed, I was at first, but every single woman in the entire world has been through what you are going through!!!

At least you have all summer to adjust before you have to go back to school :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nobody should care if you have your period!. Sometimes kids can be mean and immature but if you're in like, junior high, it should be OK!. If you're still uncomfortable though, put them in your pocket and if you don't have one, go to the nurse!. Pending your teacher/nurse is a woman, they should completely understand!. No one is judging you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just ask to speak to a female teacher privately!. then u can put the pad in ur pocket or lunch bag, or purse of some sort!. once u talk to the teacher she should be able to explain anything u have questions aboutWww@Answer-Health@Com
