OK, firstly seeing as you're a virgin and never used tampons before, it's unlikely that you've broken it!. However, there are other ways it can tear or stretch - through masturbation or physical activity such as horseriding!.
You can tell if you have by squatting over a mirror!. Look up a picture of the vagina on the internet, and locate the hole where it says 'vagina'!. If this is covered up with a piece of skin on your vagina it is likely that the hymen is still intact!.
There's no set time when it's 'supposed to break' - it breaks when it breaks!. Some people find it painful, some people don't!. It feels a bit like an elastic band breaking quickly inside of you and the pain doesn't last for long!. If you're having sex, make sure your partner goes slow and use plenty of lubrication in order to decrease discomfort!.

Many girls can see it if they use a hand mirror and hold it between their legs!. I never attempted this, so I don't know how easy it is to see!. You can give it a try!. It can get broken in many different ways: rigorous activities like gymnastics or horseback riding, using a tampon, or sex can all break your hymen!. It can break over a long period of time, without any pain, or it can be a bit painful when breaking suddenly!. It doesn't have to break when inserting a tampon because it doesn't cover the opening completely (as to allow menstrual blood to leave the body)!. If you use a high-absorbancy tampon, that can stretch it or break it!. But it's really nothing that you need to worry about!. It'll happen when it does, and it's not a big deal!. I can honestly say I have no idea when mine broke!. I took gymnastics for many years, I used tampons from when I was 13, and I had no pain with sex the first time!. most girls break it when if they ride their bikes or go horseback riding!. and if it wasn't broken, we wouldn't have our periods!. so if you're pretty active (not sexually lol), like physically, then it's probably broken!. it doesn't hurt and a lot of girls don't even know it!.

You can tell if it feels like somethings ripping and it hurts like a sharp prick and there's blood!. You can break it while horsebacking, bike riding, gymnastics, and any sport but not with a tampon!Www@Answer-Health@Com
