I had aphresis today (for bone marrow donation) and was given blood thinners in my IV!. Now I started my period and it is ridiculously heavy!. Is there anything I should/could do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it will make you bleed heavier!. If you are concerned, I would advise you to call the doctors you have been in contact with for the donation!. Do you know if enough cells were collected!? If you have to do another cycle tomarrow, definatly let them know when you go in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It can make your flow heavier than normal, just like any thing that thins your blood!. But unless you are bleeding excessively, I wouldn't worry about it!. If you are worried, then call your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
