Question: 18, considering sex with my bf for our first times!.!.!.but avoiding pregnancy!.!.!.tips!?
we have spermicidal condoms and im going on birth control!.!.!.anything else i can do!? a certain time of the month or what!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I think you've done all you can!. If i were you though, i would get some non-spermicide condoms (such as Durex) as they can really irritate you down there, cause blader indections/UTI's etc!. If your using the pill nd the condom you'll be fine about the pregnancy thing!. Good for you by the way!.

If you find it painful to go to wee after you've started having sex (sex in general) or find it itchy, definately use non-spermicide condoms!. I started having sex with my boyfriend also when i was 18 and found i got continuous UTI's/bladder infections from where my body took ages (like a year) to ge used to having sex and all he new bacteria your body has to get used too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1) Yes, your plan sounds reasonable!. The contraception efficacy of a combination of birth control pills and spermicidal condoms is excellent!. However, there is never a 100% safety!.

2) No, you do not need to use any further precautions!. What you suggested is efficient!.

3) The theoretical efficacy of birth control pills is almost 100%!. The failure rate of about 0!.5-2% results from user mistakes!. Note that after vomiting, diarrhea, taking antibiotics or simply after forgetting to take a pill on time, the contraceptive efficacy is drastically reduced!.

4) The "user mistake problem" mentioned in (3) can be avoided if you decide for an IUD, which enables you not to worry about contraception for several years!. Both hormonal IUD (like Mirena) or copper-based IUD ("coils") work always, no matter whether you are vomiting, have diarrhea, take antibiotics or suffer from any other diseases!. Thus, such "not-forgettable methods" are more reliable than birth control pills!.

5) I take it for granted that you and your boyfriend have exchanged other sexual experiences with each other before planning to have sex!. Don't "jump into cold-water", but get accustomed to your bodies by manual stimulation and oral sex!. Watch each other's reactions, study his erection and ejaculation and let him play with your vulva, labia, clitoris, breast!. If you are not comfortable with these games, you won't be comfortable with sex either!.

@Skye: While being on birth control pills, there is no menstrual cycle and no ovulation takes place! Thus, all days are equally safe while on birth control pills!. An ovulation calendar is of absolutely NO USE at all if being on birth control pills!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

google and download an ovulation calander!. This will tell you what days of the month are more likely to get pregnant!. You just use it in reverse!.!.!.rather than have sex on these days, you don't have sex!. No contraceptive is 100%!. The only way you can possibly be %100 about it is just to not have sex! I think if you use the condoms though, in conjunction with the pill, then you should be pretty safe!Www@Answer-Health@Com
