Question: I'm afraid to use a tampon!!?
We're going to my grandma's house on sunday for father's day,my other realitives and cousins and such are going too,and they've opened their pool so we're going to be swimming!.I just got my period today so I don't think I can,but I love swimming and everyone's going to be asking why I won't go in!.I am TERRIFIED of using a tampon!.I can't even think of using it as an option!.I don't want anything going up there,and people do say it hurts to take it out and stuff!.I really don't think I can do it!.What should I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you aren't ready to use one, then don't!. just tell people you have a headache/stomach ache/ear ache etc so you dont want to go in the pool!.
also, if you decide you do want to use a tampon they make jr ones or light day ones which are VERY slim and may be easier for you to use!. you could put a little KY Jelly around the applicator which would make inserting it easier!. once you do it a few times you;ll see its no big deal, but if you arent ready then just wait!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Vaginas are designed for things to go up there LOL things muh bigger than tampons!. Get some Tampax Pearl Lites from Walmart they're tiny!. If you're old enough to get a period, you're onld enough to use a tampon!. Your fear is just mental, they are really not that hard to use and they are extremely convenient once you get used to them!. Just give them a shot they're great!Www@Answer-Health@Com
What are you scared about!? Tampons really are no big deal and once you try them you might never go back to wearing pads!
So long as they ar placed correctly (which takes some practice) then you don't feel then at all, even when pulling them out!

Omg! i did not have mine yet, but I'm terrified, i think i will swim with it not on, but i might use one, but in high school you swim, in gym, my mom wears her clothes in our pool, to not use a tampon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
my BFFL had hers!. she went swimming once when it was going on but once u get out the pool run to the bathroom realy fast so u can put a pad on! and once u want to go back out, just take it off!.

My first period i used one cause it was my beach party it was really not bad at all if it is inserted correctly you wont even be able to feel it!.
