Question: How many of you women have HYPOTHYROIDISM!?
My mother is suffering from it!.
Sometimes she gets really depressed by the trouble in breathing!.

I have hypothyroidism and have trouble breathing because I have a goiter (swollen thyroid gland) and it is pressing on my wind pipe!. The only way to fix it fast is to have part of it removed!. Hypothyroidism itself causes deppression but I can see why she is depressed by this !. It is horrible, all I wanted to do was lay around the house and not do anything!. They didn't figure out that I had it until I was almost in a coma!. She needs to be on Synthroid!. It is not expensive if you don't have insurance!. After taking it for a while the thyroid gland should start to shrink, mine has!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Is your mother on medication for her hypothyroidism!? If not, she really needs to see her doctor and get on some!. I was diagnosed with it when I was 18 and have been on medication for it for the past 5 years!. Medication is really the only thing I could think of that will help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't know if its the same but Ive got over-active thyroid, i cant put on weight,I'm anxious, tired,cold and pale plus anemic!. I went doctors and put on medication called levothyroxine which balances my hormones!. Try drinking tons of water and aerobic exrcises for 20 or 30

The only thing you can really do for hypothyroidism is to be on medication!. If she isn't on medication then she needs to see the Dr!. ASAP!! Hypo is something you don't want to mess with as too little hormone in your system can be very bad!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
if she has trouble breathing because it's swollen she should have it removed!. also it has to be controlled and she should be taking pills asap!. Not something to be fooling around with as it can impact all the organs in your body!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
My mother has it also!. She may have asthma also caused by the hypothyroidism, she should get checked for that also because my mother has asthma and her inhaler helps her so she doesn't ever have trouble breathing!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
my mom has it as do many women in my family!. She is on synthroid for it!. Yeah, just about the only thing that helps is meds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
