Mammogram pain...?!
Question: Mammogram pain!.!.!.!?
I had a mammogram today and the pain was out of this world - and I am a person with a very high threshold for pain!. Seriously, I would rather go through child birth again than get smashed by that torture chamber again!. I literally thought my boob was going to explode!.!.!. I am still in pain some hours later and the doctor says to take tylenol!.
Anyone have a similar experience!? Is this normal!? Most people say it is "uncomfortable"!. That would be like saying a truck parking on your foot is "uncomfortable"!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was bruised after my first ever mammo!.
This was done at a 'clinic'!. They claimed they had to do it this way to be accurate!.
Then, after I found out I had breast cancer, I went to Roswell Park in Buffalo, NY!.
When THEY did the mammo, they were very gentle!. They said it wasn't necessary to 'smash' the boob!. They told me clinics that did this were using an outdated practice!.
I can't tell you this as fact, I'm only sharing my own experience!. The two mammos were as different as night and day!. I ended up getting narcotics for the pain after my first one!. Yes, it hurt that bad!. I wasn't kidding about the bruises!.
It's still very important to have mammos every year, especially if there is any history of breast cancer on either side of your family of breast, ovarian, or other cancers of this type!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm with you! If this occurred outside of a doctors office it would be considered assault!. I've heard of a new technology and am waiting for my next mammogram for it cause I'm not going to go through that again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Sorry, I have never experienced pain from a mammogram!. Are you menstruating!? Some women's breasts are very tender at that time of month!.
