Question: Does anyone else experience extremely painful cramping during their period!?
I've experienced this my entire life, but the only option given to me by a physician was to be on birth control pills!. While this does decrease the pain, I am astounded that there are not more available options!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know!!! I had really bad cramps before now not so bad I don't know what changed but have you gotten your thyroid checked!? They have associated cramps with thyroid as well!.!.!.I always use like a heating pad take some midol, tylenol, and nap through it!.!.!.when possible!. I always pushed through it never went on the birth control pill either to tough or just though I could handle it on my own!.!.!.but then again it might not have been as strong as your pain!. You would think they would just give us like Vicodin or something I mean come on, we deserve it!. After all hellooo child birth, period, dealing with men! I have some super bad cramps sometimes so i talked to my friend!. her doctor put her on 500 mg of naproxen sodium (aleve) twice a day when she is having them !. i bought some aleve and disregarded the warning, obviously, and that is the only thing to work for me!. maybe you can try that and see if it works!. i usually take two midol at the same time to try getting a little relief before it kicks in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
There are more options but it varies with women!. It depends on how bad your cramps are and the methods you use!. My sister has such bad cramps that she has to use birth control!. I get cramps but just 2 midol will get rid of them!. And it works great!. Sometimes if I cramp really bad then I get the heating pad, take a nap, and when I wake up I feel great!.
