Your friend really needs to go back to the Dr and get checked again!. An underactive thyroid can cause a feeling of being cold and thinning hair but the pulse would be slow rather than fast!. An overactive thyroid causes a rapid pulse but the patient is hot, sweaty, shakey and anxious rather than tired and cold!.
There could be a number of things causing these symptoms but no one on here (not even health professionals) can tell you what is wrong with your friend, she really needs to have a thorough check up with a doctor!. Good LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com

If i was you i would advise her to go back to the doctors, and explain fully all of her symptoms!. They should be able to have a guess at some other things it could be, and get her tested for them!. You have to be persistent, if she wants to sort it out, she is going to have to keep going back to the doctors until the problem is sorted!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It sounds as if your friend is suffering from clinical depression and anxiety attacks which would explain the rapid heartbeat!. She needs a referral from her GP to see a psychiatrist before this thing spirals out of control!. Also the dizziness could be Hypertension brought about because of the anxiety!. Be a good friend and take her to see the doc ASAPWww@Answer-Health@Com
Well, she might not be eating properly by the sounds of it!? She may be developing anaeroxia or bulimia, watch her eating habits!.
If its not that, maybe something is stressing her and worrying her!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tell her to have her thyroid function checked!. And maybe to get another doctor if her doctor didn't check for more than just anemia!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
As I said in my last response, these symptoms do not match up to depression!. Have her thyroid checked out!. The symptoms of anemia and thyroid disorder can be very similar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
