My mom won't let me use tampons?!

Question: My mom won't let me use tampons!?
I feel disgusting wearing pads all day and all night, and feeling the blood come out and be all over me, and then I feel bad because I sneak into my mom's room and get one of hers, but she won't let me no matter what I try doing!. It's really making me mad because I'm 14 and I've had my period a while now, and she told me like 2 years ago I could wear them when I was older, and uhh I'm obviously older! Haha, I do feel bad about stealing her tampons because I'm always worried something will happen and I'll have to explain about how I used tampons!.

How can I get this off of my chest and just let her let me use tampons!? I wanted to use either Tampax or Playtex, and since before I even got my period I wanted to use tampons!.

I hate this, helpp!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just sit her down and explain to her that you feel uncomfortable using pads and would rather use tampons!. Be mature about it though!. She's probably uncomfortable with it because it's more like her little girl is growing up!. So if you're whiny that won't give you any maturity points!.

There are other reasons she might not want you using them!. She might be afraid you'll get TSS, or that you'll somehow "lose your virginity" to a tampon or something silly like that!.

Here's a good website to explain some stuff about them: http://www!.teengrowth!.com/index!.cfm!?acti!.!.!.

The best thing is to just be mature about it!. She may or may not see the light!. If she does, well good!. If she doesn't, you'll just have to deal with it!. Bum some off of your friends, or buy them and keep them where she won't find them!. She's probably going to notice you stealing them from her eventually, if she hasn't already!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Find out why she doesn't want you to use tampons!. If she is worried about TSS, then you can probably reason with her!. Maybe you can compromise and set a certain time when you can start using them or use a certain "safer" brand or whatever!. If - ont the other hand - she is afraid you will break your hymen and then either she can't tell whether your still a virgin or your future husband won't be able to tell, then I think it's not even worth talking to her any more - just go buy your d*mn tampons and tell her to mind her own business!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well she is probably thinking of tss (Toxic Shock Syndrome) and is trying to protect you!. but if you really want to show her that you are grown up enough, then do some research on the benefits of using tampons and the risks that are also involved!. by doing this you can show her that you are serious about using tampons, and that you are mature enough to try them out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you asked her why!? Is she afraid of toxic shock symdrome (where tampons are left in too long, used to be a problem!.!.!.) or just thinks you are too young to stick stuff "up in there"!?

Get her to explain why, explain your feelings honestly!. That you wanted to use them before your period!.!.!.don't say that! It fuels her argument because it indicates you don't have a real reason!. Ask her if you can just "try it one time" because maybe she thinks you won't be able to do it right!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

maybe you should listen to you mother on that note you are young an these things causes cancer so if i was you i would use the pads to be on the safe side!. it's natural for that to happen it's mother nature!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your mom is probably concerned with the breaking of your Hymen so she can tell if you have had sex or she is worried about you getting tss toxic shock syndrome very rare just ask her whyWww@Answer-Health@Com

Just go buy some and don't tell her!. Just keep the pads in the bathroom and chances are she won't even notice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

she wont let u use tampons cuz they break ur hymen and they cause infections they're really dangerousWww@Answer-Health@Com

maybe go to the store and buy your own and she woulnt know!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

have a discussion with her about it!.
if she still refuses to allow it
just buy your own box and hide it somewhere ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok well you do realize that she is jus worried about you right!? she's worried tthat you might get TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome)!. i mean, what girl isn't scared about that!? i'm 14 too, and i've been using for a while too, my mom was heasitant about it too, she didn't let me use tampons for like, ever!. she told me i was cause she wanted to like tell me more about using them or sum Sh** like that but anyways, lol it'll take some time for her to get used to the fact that you're growing up, [[and this is not meant to be offencive or anything!.!.!.]] but like maybe she just doesn't trust you enough yet!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sit her down and talk to her!.

The probable reason that she doesn't want you using tampons is because of TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome), which can be deadly!. It's caused by either using a tampon that is too absorbant for your flow, or leaving your tampon in for too long!.

She probably is worried about you, and thinks that you might forget about it and end up with TSS!.

If you explain to her what's going on (because trust me, I know how gross pads feel, especially if your flow is heavy), she should let you use tampons!. If not, well!.!.!. go out and buy your own!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well,I was the same way!.!.!.when I started my period,I was on pads for about 2-3 months!.!.I hated it!!!! But my mom got me tampons and pads and she said whatever is comfortable for me!.!.!.Actually,tampons can give you TSS (toxic shock syndrome) !.!.!.its actually deadly!.!.!.maybe thats a reason!?I dont know!.!.!.but!.!.!.!.if you really want to wear tampons, just sneak and buy them!.!.!.hide them in a box wear she cant see them!.!.!.or a closet or something!.!.and its flushable!.!.and you can keep the wrappers inside the box and throw away in the garbage can outside in a plastic bag or something!.!.!.i feel bad for this advice, lol, but if it is worth it!.!.!.I would do it!!!! Good Luck to yaWww@Answer-Health@Com
