Question: Is there any type of medicine I can take to make my period lighter!?
The first day it is really heavy!.!.!.and it's disgusting because no matter how many pads I use,it still gets on my pants!. Please help,it's stopping me from going anywhere out of the house when I first start!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Like everyone else has said, birth control pills help to regulate your period!. They don't just make it lighter, but they make it more regular (you will pretty much know the exact day you'll start your period), and they ease the pain of cramps, if you get them!. They may also make the period somewhat shorter!. Because the pill contains hormones, it changes your hormone levels, which changes your period!. It also is known to help improve your skin and decrease acne!.
Ask your doctor about it or go to a clinic that can prescribe it!. It's sure better than hiding in your house because of a heavy period!. It definately sounds like you're a perfect candidate to go on the pill to regulate your period!.

It'll make your periods quite light, if not virtually non-existent!.
The one drawback!? If/when you decide to give up DP, there will be a month or two as your body clears out the hormones, then you might end up with the wicked period from hell, at least the first time!. After that, it's anybody's guess!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

there is such a thing called birth control!. i would definantly google the birth control called "Yaz"!. the commercials say that they give you shorter, lighter periods!.hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
