I can't use a tampon and I have surfcamp. Help me please?!

Purchase a light or regular absorbency tampon that comes with a plastic applicator!. Many women like Tampax Pearl and Playtex Gentle Glide!. (I use the latter!.) Insert the tampon when you're at a medium or heavy flow, otherwise your vagina won't lubricated enough to comfortably wear a tampon!. Sit on the toilet with your legs open or stand up with one leg up on the toilet seat, whichever is most comfortable for you, and slowly insert the tampon!. You want to aim toward your lower back, not straight up!. If you have difficulty getting it in, try using KY lubricant or Vaseline!. Try practicing with some lube before going to surf camp so that you can get a feel for how a tampon works!.

The other option is a Diva Cup!.

You can always wait out your period by telling your camp counselor that you have a medical issue that prevents you from going into the water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure what your reasons are for not using tampons, but if your still comfortable inserting something 'up there' then you could get a "Diva Cup" or "Keeper"!. These are silicon cup things that you put up and can re-use for years (provided you keep it clean) - the benefits are that you can keep it in all day, and you can't get toxic shock syndrome from it!.

Otherwise, you don't bleed while you're in the water (strange fact, I know)!. I used to swim, and when I was young I put a panty liner in my bathing suit so that I would be able to get from the pool to the change room!. I never had a problem with that method for the 3 years I did it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you don't use tampons because you don't know how or you've never tried, then I reccomend you learn how!. Take your time and learn how!. Try it out, and sooner or later you'll figure it out!. If you have any friends who use tampons, ask them how it works!. Once you learn, you can do it all the time and it doesn't hurt!. It's actually very comfortable!.

if you never used tampons before then nows the time to start!. i suggest you start with teen tampax!. they are lite and easy to use!. if you are a virgin the will not affect your virginity!. do not use pads they are bulky, absorb water, and can lead to embarrasment!. have your mother, friend, or close adult woman show you how to use them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

tampons are not as bad as they seem, and if it comes down to that or nothing i would pick the tampon!. The first time i used one i was a little bit scared, but just read the info!. it comes with and you will be ok!.
