Well, every month the uterus lining thickens to prepare itself for implantation of a fertilized egg!. If no egg is fertilized and implanted, the lining removes its self!. The body is made to maintain it's inner workings!. As far as the blood amount, it seems like there is soo much but actually its very little, when measured ( so little it is measured in ml)!. The whole process is just a way to clean out unneeded tissue from your body!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
