Can damage to the vagina cause sexual problems?!

Question: Can damage to the vagina cause sexual problems!?
Last weekend my girlfriend tried climbing over a fence in her bikini (we were camping by a beach)!. Anyway, she slipped and fell on top of the fence!. She landed right on her vulva and a part of the fence jabbed deep into her vagina!. It caused some major bleeding (the doctor called it a self-inflicted episiotomy)!. Also, her vulva was cut and her clitoris bruised!. She is back at home and sore but seems ok!. I am wondering if this will affect her sexual ability at all!? Will it affect her sexual pleasure!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Well you tripped over the answer to your question in your explanation!. You said the doctor called it a self-inflicted episiotomy!.

After years of doing episiotomies myself, I can assure you that once a period of healing passes, sexuality and sex generally will resume as before!.

Tell your girlfriend to be more careful!. :^)

yes it would and she need to relax!. the last thing on her mind now should be sex she should be more focused on trying to get better then she can take it from there!. Even after she heals he partner should still take it easy though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ouch!. she should be alright once she has healed properly - as long as she doesnt do anything sexual before hand!. Give her time to heal properly before you do anything together!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well it will till it heals up completely!. but after its healed up it may still be sensitive but it shouldnt affect her sexual being muchWww@Answer-Health@Com
