I'm 17 and thinking about having sex?!

Question: I'm 17 and thinking about having sex!?
I was wondering about birth control pills!. My concern is that birth control pills will put hormones into my body!. Is this a reasonable concern!? Also I'm taking medication for severe OCD and ADD and so I'm a bit worried about the adverse side effects!. Does anybody have any information on this!?

PS: I will also use a condom as well for extra protection!.

Thank you so muchWww@Answer-Health@Com

I'm on mental health medication, and never had a problem or a doctor express concern for my antidepressants and my birth control, and never had ANY trouble with these or heard of there ever being problems!. Just make sure you tell the gyno!. what medications you are on!. Each doctor needs to know what the other doctor has prescribed you!.
The hormones aren't random hormones, it just increases certain levels of certain hormones already in your body, so it is safe!. It simply tricks your body into thinking you are pregnant so the egg doesn't get fertilized, or something along those lines!. So it's not crazy foreign hormones or chemicals you are putting in your body!.
You are smart for looking into multiple forms of birth control and for thinking wisely about all health concerns!.
Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I applaud you on actually thinking about the pill, some young girls don't have a thought to do that!. My advice would be to talk to your doctor about it or if you don't have a good doctor you are comfortable with, try one of the many womens clinics out there!. Tell him/her that you want to go on the pill but you want to know what the side effects are with your other medications!. That's the responsible route to go!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes is reasonable, talk to a doctor!. Thats what everyone has to do first, they will look at your medical history and make a far more informed choice on what will be best than anyone over the internet!. If your worried about your parents still check it out, you can probably set up an appointment by yourself and ifn not try planned parenthood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

birth control is 99% effective and condoms are 99% effective but you seem to be having doubts!? and if so wait because right now i totally regret sleeping with the boy i thought id love forever!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
