Question: Sick of using pads, tampon advice please!?

Everytime I use pad they leak and just feel uncomfortable!. I've had my period for 5 years now and I've only ever used pads, and I've heard tampons are much better and feel a lot cleaner!.

It is painful inserting one in, (still a virgin, so im still 'tight'), and how do you insert one in, I tried looking at instructions from a tampon website but it just confused the heck out of me!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tampons are not better at all and certainly are not cleaner, tampons are in fact the more harmful and unhygienic options available!. Tampons prevent your vagina from cleaning itself as it would normally, it gives bacteria the perfect place to multiply within your body, absorbs vaginal fluids leading to dryness, and commercial tampons unnecessarily use chemicals and bleaches which pose additional problems too!. Tampons are known to cause vaginal infections, vaginal splitting, vaginal ulcers, increased menstrual flow, increased menstrual cramps, toxic shock syndrome (TSS), and have been known to cause endometriosis and cervical cancer!. These risks are increased in pre-teens, teens and women who are HIV positive because their vaginal walls are more delicate and their immune systems less able to cope with infections!.
