Question: If i get my periods on the 1st and they last for 7 days then what date i will start to ovulate!?
Answers:
pasha395 is right!.!.!. you ovulate (not "start to" ovulate, as it only happens once per cycle, when the egg is released) approximately mid-way through your cycle (the length of your period does not affect this)!. So an average menstrual cycle is 28 days (the first day of your period is considered day 1), with ovulation occurring on or around day 14!. However, everyone's cycle is slightly different!.

If this question is related to pregnancy, it should be noted that although the woman is only technically fertile on the day of ovulation, sperm can actually stay alive in the vaginal canal for up to seven days!. So intercourse taking place up to a week prior to ovulation can still result in pregnancy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Once again

The first day of the period is day one!. (the length of the period, is irrelevant) You then count to day 14 and this is the most likely date of ovulation!. A couple of days either side of this, is still fertile as the egg lived for around three days!. Then continue to count and around the 28th day, the period will come and this is then counted as day one again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will start to ovulate on the 14th day!. The first day of your period is the first day of your cycle, then 7 days after your period will finish and then 7 days after that you will start to ovulate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
