Well, every month a layer is formed in the womb!. The layer is soft and made of endometrial tissue!.

The layer is meant to be the place of a fertilized ovum to fix and become a pregnancy!. If there is no pregnancy, the layer is useless and detaches painlessly (cramps are due to the efforts of the womb to take it out) causing a bleeding!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's the lining of the uterus that comes out
The lining builds up every month for you to have a baby!.!. then when the sperm doesn't fertilize the egg, the lining and egg come out!.
