Hey guys!. I am 20 and I haven't had my first period yet!. My doctor says it is normal but I dont think so!. What do you think!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

A 20 year old female who has not yet had her first period would not be considered within "normal range" for menses!. It's still possible that you are fine, but are just very very late!. But at this point, a gynecologist needs to be involved, perhaps doing some hormonal studies!. How is your other development!? Breasts, pubic hair, shape, weight shifting/distribution!?

your doctor is wrong!. most doctors say that if you havent gotten your period by 16 then there could be a problem!. if you are supper sporty then that could be holding your period off, it could also be because you dont have enough body fat!. you need to go to a new doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I would need to know more info!.!.are you extremely thin!? have you been an "extreme" athlete for most of your teen years!? For example, gymnasts don't get their periods till after they retire usually!. If you are not either of these, consider family history, did your mom and grandma start later in life!. While it is not "normal", there are many factors to consider!.!.hope this helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, get a second opinion!. Your hormones could be out of whack!. You could be severely underweight or exercise excessively!. Last resort !. !. !. get CAT scan or MRI to make sure you have all the right parts!. One of my friend's sister - who was a nurse - didn't find out until she was 24 that she had half a uterus, 1 ovary and 1 kidney!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
