I keep reading:
When started within 6 days of the start of a period or within 6 days after an abortion, The Pill is effective immediately!. If the Pill is started at other times, it will be effective after one month!.
I am on my period right now!. I started two days ago!. Today is my third day!. I am irregular!.
My boyfriend and I will use the condom and the pill!.

Thank you!.^^Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
the pill works to keep your body at a particular hormone level, telling the ovaries to NOT release an egg!. during the placebo week an egg is released!. you HAVE to use a condom during this week no doubt about it!.

as for starting, they mean that if you've ovulated within 6 days of starting the pill, it will start working immediately!. if not, you can't be sure you haven't ovulated already and that means you could have an egg waiting already, that's what they're getting at!.

i like that you're being responsible - way to go girl!! you have a head start on most peopleWww@Answer-Health@Com
