7th grade physicals? What do they do?!
Question: 7th grade physicals!? What do they do!?
I really really need help!!!!! I do not know if the shots hurt or if they check you know where! I really need ladies and women to tell me what they do!! Please use detail if you can remember!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

okay wel im in 7th grade too, going into 8th next year!. i had a physical in april, and what happend was is that they measure and weigh you and then bring you to the room where you get into a smock like thing {cant think of the name!.!.oh the gowns! lol} and wait!. then they check your leg reflexes, and to see your "growth" they just pull down your underwear really quickly and look at the top where your pubic hair grows to see if your okay!. and then they ask questions and give you shots!.
TRUST ME I HATE NEEDLES!!! but, i think of my friends, my family, and the guys i have little crushes on, or talk to my mom who comes back in and it doesnt hurt if you dont look or think about it!. hope i helped (:Www@Answer-Health@Com

A physical is just making sure everything works right!. You often get them for sports, camps!. They check your heart beat(using the thing around doc's necks on chest and your back), pulse(arm-wrap thing), reflexes(elbow/knee taps), ears(flashlight/magnifier), eyes(flashlight), weight, height!. It's really quick and nothing to be worried about (and I don't like doctor visits!)!. They don't check under your clothes!. Your mom/dad stays in the room with you the whole time!.
Shots are not a part of a physical, but if you are getting shots in addition to a physical, in 7th you usually get Hepatitus and MMR, those shots are super fast and the needles are small so it barely hurts!.
If the are checking for spinal curvature/sclerosis(sp!?), they tell you before hand to not wear certian bras and you bend over so your head looks at the ground, then they trace your spine!. (You can keep your shirt on, they just will lift up the back side of it!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

All I remember about my 7th grade physical was donning one of those ravishing paper gowns for the first time!. Afterward, a friend and I joked about how we could wear those gowns to our prom!.!.!.which of course we never did!.
If you would feel more comfortable with a female doctor, then call your doctor's office and request one!. You can also use that phone call as an opportunity to ask exactly what to expect at your physical!.
Lastly, please stop freaking out!. I used to flip out whenever I had to see the doctor or the dentist, but I gradually got over it as I grew older because I knew I didn't have anything to worry about!.!.!.but mostly because stressing yourself accomplishes exactly nothing!. Your appointment is coming up whether you like it or not, so you might as well not waste time nor energy sending yourself into a tizzy!.
Ideally, you will reach a point in your emotional maturation process where you can make an active choice not be anxious about certain things anymore, including seeing the doctor!. It takes practice, but now sounds like a good time to start!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Im pretty sure they just weigh you!. You'll probably get a needle, too!. I live in Canada and for my school in Ontario, I had to get my Hepititis B shots (its 2 shots, 1 at beginning of year, 1 at end) and my Meningitis shot!.
The shots don't hurt!.!.!. needles only last 1 second!. Just DONT TENSE YOUR MUSCLE just squeeze onto someones hand with the arm not getting the shot!.
They wont check your privates I dont think, dont worry XD

ok shots dont hurt unless your not relaxed trust me i know i'm terrified of needles and shots are like a walk in the park!. they may check you down there but all they'll do is!. take your underwear off and they'll glance down there to make sure everything is fine!. thats what they did with me!. and they'll check your blood pressure and what not!. and have you hop on one foot and then walk in a straight line!. thats about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I asked the same question last year! lol They make you walk in diffrent kind of ways!. They touch your belly alot!.!.!.They just make sure nothing is wrong with your breathing, check your eyes and they don't touch you too much, just your tummy : ] NO shots or any blood!. They might make you take a urine sample, that what I heard but they didn't do it to me!.They check your weight and height!.

They listen to your heart, take blood pressure, basically everything they do at a normal check up, and they give you a shot, and it doesn't hurt, but i guess that depends on how sensitive you are!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
