What is going on with my period?!
Question: What is going on with my period!?
I am 21 and I just started prenatals last week(!.and no im not pregnant yet!.) I just got my period today and I am in extreme pain! Its the worst period I have ever had!. i cant stand up I cant eat because i will throw up, i have gone through 12 heavy pads in one day! im dizzy but most of all stomach feels like its being ripped apart!.
COULD this possible be because Of my prenatals!? I just think its weird that I just started taking thm and now i have the worst period of my life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hello, I know how you feel with this!. I had painful periods like you describing when I was your age!. No painkillers over the counter helped with the pain!.This is what I did when I experienced the same situation!. I used a heating pad for the pain and would eat things that would be easy on my stomach!. You could also try a hot bath which will ease the cramps a little bit!. Since you starting the prenatals you could be having some side effects from starting them!. I would give it some time to see if it corrects out!.If you experience worse symptoms than you just described I would either go to the emergency room or go to the doctor!. Are you trying to get pregnant!?!? Lots of women have miscarriages and never know they were pregnant!. They think that they are just having a heavy period!. I have never heard of prenatals making a person have a heavy period, but I do know when I was pregnant prenatal made me extremly sick!. I had to stop them and take two regular multi vitamins!. Also was your period light or short last month!. This could also be a cause of a heavy period!. You body didn't finish "cleaning" itself out and is doing so now!. If you are in exteme pain I would see a doctor asap!. If nothing else they can give you some anti nausea and pain meds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
