Question about tilted/tipped uterus?!

Question: Question about tilted/tipped uterus!?
I am 8 weeks pregnant and at my first prenatal appointment the sonographer told me that my uterus was tilted!. I was doing some research and found that a tilted uterus can cause a lot of menstrual cramping during a woman's period!. Every time that I've had my period in the past I get excruciating cramps and I'm starting to think my uterus is the culprit!. I also read that pregnancy actually corrects a tilted uterus!. So, I have two questions!. One: after my baby is born, will my uterus stay normal or will it eventually go back to being tilted!? And two: will my period cramps be less severe as a result of this!? If anyone has any personal experience with this subject I would really appreciate it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
My uterus is tipped also!. During pregnancy your uterus grows and expands into the abdominal cavity, and naturally rights itself (if it continued to expand the way it is lying tilted back, your baby bump would stick out of your back lol)!. Right after you give birth your uterus is still sticking up into your abdominal cavity somewhat, and takes anywhere from 3-6 weeks do return to its prepregnancy size!. Then it is possible for it to revert to being tipped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have also been told that I have a tilted uterus!. I'm 43 years old and have given birth to 4 children!. I have never had an "issue" with my so-called tilted uterus!. After your baby is born, if your cramps are still that bad, birth control pills will greatly diminish your flow and cramps!.

There is not one person on this earth that has a "textbook" position, size, or functioning body part!. A tilted uterus simply means that you're not in textbook position!. No big deal!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am 33 and have had 5 kids!.I was never told my uterus was tilted until this last pregnancy so I am ASSUMING it does go back to normal!.However, the fact that youve had menstraul cramps seems to be just a personal issue you may have to have the rest of your cycles!.This is a good idea to talk with your ob/gyn at your next visit!.If you are afraid you'll forget, write it down!.This is a tip I picked up reading a pregnancy book in the past!.Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
