I think the IUD's last for about 5 years and I don't think they require any check-ups or anything like that!.!. I think they just put it in and you're good to go!. I am strongly considering getting one as well because I have a hard time remembering to take the pill!.!.!. I say it's a good idea if you don't want any more little ones anytime soon :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
