Answers:
There are a number of contra-indications and relative contra-indications to prescribing the pill!. Age is one, some doctors will not prescribe the pill to under 16 year olds!. Also women over 35 years are a potential problem and most doctors won't prescribe over that age for women who smoke!. A past history of vascular clots or strokes is an absolute contra-indication!. Severe disturbances of liver function, jaundice or persistent itching during a previous pregnancy, Dubin-Johnson syndrome, Rotor syndrome, previous or existing liver tumours!. Conditions which predispose to thromboembolism e!.g!. disorders of the clotting processes, valvular heart disease and atrial fibrillation and Sickle-cell anaemia!. Severe diabetes mellitus with vascular changes!. Disorders of lipid metabolism!. History of herpes gestationis!. Deterioration of otosclerosis during pregnancy!. Undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding and Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the pill are all reasons not to prescribe!.

It is normal to check height, weight, blood pressure and pulse, also sometimes a breast examination is performed and a smear if it is due anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No they won't do a physical examination and they can't without your permission and a chaperon present such as a Practice Nurse!.
As for why they wouldn't prescribe it, there are several reasons but the main ones are if you are found or are known to have high blood pressure, you have previously suffered from Deep Vein Thrombosis, you are already pregnant!.
Most GP's are usually happy to prescribe the pill!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

because your family has a history of blood clots, or strokes etc!. and even then, they tend to give you a different pill as opposed to just saying no!.
no, he wil weigh you, take your height and then ask you questions!.
even if you're under 16 - like me - they still give you the pill!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your health history!. If you have a history of depression, some pills can increase it!. I dont know about the physical exam!. It probably depends if your due for one!. Also If you have history of blood clots!.!.!.ect!. They look at your history!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Birth control!?

The only reason why they might not is if you have a health problem that would cause the pill to be unsafe!. But probably not!.

Yes, there will be a full exam!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

because your body won't be able to handle it due to health issues!. Yes!. It will be required before you are assigned a birth control!. Try depo!.!.I really liked that one and no pills to take!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bad health history!.

Before I cld get my pills they gave me a mamogram, didn't really hurt just felt uncomfortable!. And asked ALOT of questions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Only if your GP was religiously opposed to prescribing contraception, or the answers above!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The Only Reason Is Because You're Body Would React Strongly To It!. He Should Do A Quick Check But Nothing Serious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
