Question: Do you think my weight could be putting off my period!?
Okay, I'm 12 and I started puberty at 10 I guess!. Well, when I was younger, I was really chubby!. Recently, I lost like 15 pounds!. I also experienced what I call a "mini eating disorder" where I tried out purging and not eating!. Now, I am under so much stress and I am constantly exercising and doing gymnastics and dance!. Do you think this could be delaying my first period!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok im 12 too, and I started puberty at 10 years old and my docter said to me that the best thing to do is put on a little more weight ( like 7 pounds ) Because if you loose anymore weight yes your period will shut down and you will have it a year later then now!.!.

P!.s Drink a lot of water and make sure to exersize
Make it a good one

well yeah that will affect you period but girls normally get that anywhere from 13-14 sometimes 15 and stop with the eating diorder thing that is horrible hun you are really hurting your self and also you are going to hit a growth spurt and loose alot of the weight it's good to be into exercising but just eat right and exercise and you will be good and trust me the longer you go with out your period the luckier you are lol it sucksWww@Answer-Health@Com

being serious under weight and yes this can effect your period!.!.!.not a good thing!.
your body needs to expel the old lining to make room for the new!.!. build up of the old **** is unhealthy and can lead to other health problems!.!.
i am hoping you have seriously stopped the mini eating disoder for good!.!.i do belive in healthy living and eating!.!. you do do a lot of excerises so i am sure that being althletic does effect your period as well!.!.!. just try and be healthy!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be!. When you put your body under stress, these kinds of things happen, but that is the least of your worries, you may also stunt your growth and end up with osteoporosis as an adult, as you are at the age where your body is laying down bone mass!. Be very careful young lady!. Eat healthily, and don't exercise excessively!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes stress delays your period my sugestion take a break from all the dancing exercising and take a yoga class with your friend or mom or someone you know yoga relieves stress and keeps you in shape at the same time! good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.stress, rapid weight loss and eating disorders can all stop a period!. In tour case it could easily delay you getting it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
