i've lost my virginity to my bf and my mum doesn't know and i'm not planning to tell her!. if i go for a PAP smear test, will the doctor find out that my hymen is broken!? i'm pretty sure it is, because i bled!. will the doctor be discrete!? How will it pan out!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes they can tell if you're a virgin or not!. What they CAN'T do is share that information with your mother since it's confidential!. If it's a family doctor that has known you since you were a baby, then discreetly request that they don't make an innocent comment to your mother about any findings without your consent!.!. Your health is your health!. It's important that you get a yearly PAP smear once you lose your virginity, so don't let this matter stop you!.

Short anatomy discussion!. Virgins do not always have a complete hymen in place!. The hymen is commonly broken when a tampon is first inserted!. So, the absence of a hymen does not mean a woman has lost her virginity!. To get a PAP smear, the doctor must insert a swab past a previously opened hymen to reach the cervix (neck) of the uterus!. The swab is then smeared on a slide or put in a solution for the Pap smear examination under the microscope!. If that reveals the presence of sperm or the changes of a sexually-transmitted virus, like the HPV (human papilloma virus), then it must have come from a male partner!. Such information is available to the doctor, but the presence of sperm is not always written in the report so that the patient will not be embarrassed!. they can tell yes!. you the hymen can be broken however by tampons or physical actuivity not related to sexual acts, but they cant tell your mom if they tell you not to!. also you could take her and just play stupid!. I wopuld suggest going by yourself rather than taking her !.!.!. I found myself in this same situation with a girl a few years back her mom ended up going with her but she made her mom wait in the lobby and told the docter she wanted to keep it confidential that is the best thing you could do

Hi, well from what i know they aren't allowed to say that sort of thing in front of your parents anyway!.!.!.!. they ask them to leave the room or somat!. U could try saying something to ur mum like can i do this alone i feel old enough to go on my own or whatever!.!.!. they can only tell if your hymen is broken and that can be caused by many things!. Usually the doctor will just ask if you are sexually active and you can always say no!. Also, I doubt your mom will go in with you!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
