and my parents refuse to take me to the hospital because they don't believe i have tss even though i have the symptons of blacking out and dizziness (which never happened before besides the last time i used tampons)!. how long would it take for me to die!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure how long it would take for you to die but if you believe you have TSS, your parents should take you to a doctor, at least to alleviate your fears!. Here are some other symptoms of TSS:
Fever
Rash
Headache
Muscle aches
Lightheadedness
Confusion
Nausea
Diarrhea
!.!.!.just to name a few!. If you don't have a fever and rash, chances are good that you don't have TSS!. But if you're getting lightheaded and blacking out, you should definitely see a doctor!. That's serious!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It can develop really rapidly in anyone!. If you experience ANY blacking out/dizziness, you should go to a doctor anyway and the fact that your parents wont take you to the doctors or hospital isn't good sweetie! TSS should result in instant hospitalization and with an early diagnosis - can be treated!.

if you had tss you would know about it!.
blacking out and dizziness can be caused by the increased hormones around you period if you have a hormone imbalance!.
but if you really think you have it i would go to the hospital!.
otherwise i believe your parents are right in not taking you, it is easy for your body to imagine syptoms if ou believe you have it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if your parents wont take you then you should just go yourself to check it out!. but i doubt you woudl have it unless you have left your tampon in for more than like 10 hours!.
its very rare and if you did have it then you would probably be more sick and not just faint and stuff but get flu like syptoms as well and you would be bed ridden as its a serious life threatening ilness!.
but dw i think its highly unlikely you have it but you should go to your GP if youre still in doubt!.

either way, find a [female] doctor and discuss this with them!.
if you do continue to use tampons, don't leave them inside you for more than 2-3 hours ok

there is usually a paper in the tampons box though!. that would give you way more information on it than any of us on here could!. all i know about tss is that you 'can' die!.!.that doesnt necessarily mean that you 'will' die!.

I'm not sure!. I think it can be quite quick!. If you really think you have it, sneak out and go to a doctor yourself or call an ambulance!. I don't think you would have it though if this happened last time you used tampons as well and you didn't die!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

TSS is very serious and I dont think you would be on the computer if you had it!. You get a rash like sunburn and feel very sick like the flu!. It is rare, it's probably unlikely that you have it so I wouldn't worry!. xWww@Answer-Health@Com
your periods can cause blacking out and dizziness anyway, and I think if you had tss you would be feeling VERY unwell right now!. It might be best not to use internal protection any more though, and call a doctor yourself if things get worseWww@Answer-Health@Com
